UPCOMING EVENTS:

MAY 21, 2012 - VICTORIA DAY PARADE. DG AL AND JANE WILL BE IN THE PARADE AND MEMBERS OF ALL LIONS/LIONESS CLUBS OF SOOKE ARE INVITED TO WALK ALONG BESIDE THE CAR TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT.  MEMBERS OF THE THREE CLUBS ALSO ASSIST WITH MARSHALING THE PARADE ENTRANTS. WITH LUCK WE MAY BE ABLE TO DO BOTH.  PARADE MARSHALS CAN MEET AT DENNYS AT 0545 - 0600 FOR A PROVIDED BREAKFAST. OTHERWISE MEET AT THE MAYFAIR MALL CLOCK TOWER AT O645 FOR TASKING'S. WE USUALLY GET ONE AREA TO CONTROL.

JUN 2/3 2012 - 24 HOUR RELAY AT UVIC.

JUN 17, 2012 - PANCAKE BREAKFAST AT SOOKE FLATS.

JUN 23, 2012 - JOHN WILSON DINNER AT LEGION. COCKTAILS STARTS AT 4 PM WITH DINNER AT 5:30 PM. COST $ 20/TICKET.

JUL 1, 2012 - CANADA DAY. CLUB WILL BE MAKING FISH AND CHIPS AT SOOKE FLATS.

JUL 7, 2012 - YEAR-END WIND-UP AT SOOKE FLATS. STARTS AT 3 PM AND GOES UNTIL ?.

AUG 4/5, 2012 - ACCORDING TO THE PAPER, THE SALMON DERBY IS A GO FOR THESE DATES. WE WILL BE DOING OUR USUAL THING UNLESS ADVISED OTHERWISE.

AUG 12, 2012 - SOOKE SUBARU INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON.

All money collected from these events goes to local charities and to help the people of Sooke.

-  " Sooke Telephone Book & Business Directory",  "Murray Road Park", "Sooke Cemetery Upkeep"   "Breakfast with Santa",   "Hard Times Dance", Great Chili Challenge", "Bursaries",   "Lions Project Pride",  "Galloping Goose Linear Walk" and the  "Annual Vintage Car Show"  to name a few.

Sooke Lions also support the LCIF "Sight First" program, disaster preparedness and relief through the Lions "ALERT" program, as well as  "Camp Shawnigan",  Cops For Cancer"  and "Wildarc".  The Sooke Lions also put all Grade 2 students through a learn to swim program.
